After several years away from the music scene, Anahí resumed her singing career last week with the release of 'Latidos', a song dedicated to her three-year-old son Manu, in which the charismatic Mexican artist describes eternal love and deep bond that exists between a mother and her child and that is already available on all digital platforms.
"It is a very special song for me," confesses in an exclusive interview with People en Español the former RBD member, who in addition to having her own podcast 'Are They There?' Together with her sister Marichelo, she continues with her platform AnbyAnahi.com in which she reveals her heart by sharing her experiences to lead a healthy lifestyle through more than 60 capsules with exercise and yoga routines and cooking recipes aimed at all women.
I am in a moment in my life where I only do and will do what fills my soul
How did 'Latidos' come about and how was the song creation process?
The inspiration was Manu, my son, and we created it for him with all love. Georgel, who is a great talent and a very dear friend of mine, helped me make it come true and together we made all those beautiful feelings come to life in this song that I share with you all today.
'Latidos' is the song with the most meaning in my heart
We suppose that the moment when you finally show the song to Manu and he listens to it for the first time will have been very exciting …
Manu is a super-sensitive baby to music, he gets a lot. The first time I sang it to her it was a cappella and she cried with feeling and she applauded me 'bravo mama'. Now that he has heard it many times, he says it is Manu's song.
Would you say that 'Latidos' is the most special song of your career so far?
It is the song with the most meaning in my heart. Totally. And when Emiliano arrives in this world, of course I will also make him his.
Podcast, song… are we facing the rebirth of Anahí's career?
I am very happy and I feel full of positive energy with these projects that I am doing today. I am in a moment in my life where I only do and will do what fills my soul. What makes me feel full and fulfilled with every step I take. I have many plans and I want to do many things. More surprises will come very soon.
