Following The Megxit, Queen Elizabeth Gives Prince William A New Post

After the spectacular departure of Meghan and Harry in what became known worldwide as the famous Megixt, Queen Elizabeth, very active lately on the weekends, appointed Prince William on Saturday with this new position: Lord High Commissioner to the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland.

At thirty-seven, William continues the work of his predecessor, the tenth Duke of Buccleuch and the twelfth Duke of Queensberry, Richard Scott. But what does this new position mean for the Duke of Cambridge ? William will be Queen Elizabeth's representative in the Church of Scotland, attending official visits and ceremonies instead.

It is clear that the queen continues with her planning and taking steps forward after the abandonment of her grandson Harry, who already lives in Canada with his wife Meghan Markle and son Archie. It is very understandable that after the calamities caused by some of her children and grandchildren, the Queen of England has all her hopes placed on the, for the moment, model marriage between Prince William and Kate Middleton for the future of the institution.

The Dukes of Cambridge resumed their official agenda earlier in the week as if nothing had happened, as if the Megxit hurricane they had just experienced on Kate Middleton's birthday and had not existed for the entire week, appearing smiling and very relaxed on behalf of the queen at the UK-Africa Investment summit.

There they were accompanied by another couple from the royal family, who over time gained the total trust of the sovereign and are now very close to her, the Earls of Wessex, the youngest son of Elizabeth II, Prince Edward, and his wife, Sophie Rhys - Jones.

The Earls of Wessex are now another oasis for the monarch, where to rest among the avatars that star the other members of the Windsor dynasty.
