The Mexican-American singer loves preparing this typical fish broth that reminds him of his adolescence in Sinaloa. "It is what my uncles and my mother did most, and that is why it is already customary to do it now for my family," says the artist. "By bringing back family memories, it becomes one of my favorite dishes."

FISH SOUP

About 30 minutes

4-6 servings

1 1/3 kilos of chopped fish, whether catfish, red snapper or tilapia

3 tomatoes

½ onion

2 green chilies

1 coriander sprig

4 potatoes

1 carrot

½ chayote

1 bay leaf

3 garlic cloves

Salt and garlic salt, to taste

Put the tomato, onion, garlic and the previously chopped chilies in a pot with olive oil. Stew until everything is well cooked. Besides, boil 2 liters of water. Add it to the pot, seasoning with salt and garlic salt.

Once it boils, add the rest of the chopped ingredients and the fish. Let cook over medium heat. Once it boils again, add the coriander and, if necessary, more salt and garlic salt to taste. Turn off and serve.
