What are amino acids?
Amino acids are the blocks that protect the skin. They are the ones that produce the peptides, including collagen, that make up our skin. They are essential to keep it working and healthy. There are 20 different types of amino acids and each one performs a specific function for the health of our skin.
So they are very important for the skin …
They are the superheroes who fight to keep her healthy. They do all the heavy lifting. For example, they protect the skin from free radicals, they have a unique ability to make water molecules increase hydration and also retain it, and it also helps to balance the pH so that the skin is not irritated.
Which are the most important?
Of the 20 that exist, there are 10 that are essential and responsible for healthy skin.
Glycine: helps restore skin tissue and speeds up the healing process.
Alamina: serves as a skin conditioning agent.
Proline: works to fade fine lines and wrinkles.
Lysine: hydrates and helps increase collagen production.
Leucine: helps prevent wrinkles and improves existing ones.
Arginine: through the renewal of cells and the formation of collagen, it assists in the restoration and healing of visible damage to the skin.
Glutamine: restores the synthesis of collagen, especially after exposure to the sun.
Histidine: It has anti-inflammatory properties and provides antioxidants that fight against free radicals.
Methionine: neutralizes substances before they damage the skin.

Do they work well with other popular ingredients like retinol and hyaluronic acid?
Amino acids are great for supplementing other skin ingredients because they serve as a vehicle for allowing those ingredients to work more effectively. So the products that have them help you achieve better results and prevent your skin from becoming irritated.
Do all products have to have them?
It depends on its formulation. For example, they are not necessarily necessary in products that are immediately removed from the skin, such as cleansing creams or soaps.
