Launching beauty lines is fashionable among the famous and now there are many that have prestigious and popular brands, favorites of many of the makeup lovers and even of the most renowned makeup artists. And there is no denying that in recent years the world of beauty has risen like foam and there are dozens of new brands that are now available, including Fenty Beauty by Rihanna, KKW Beauty by Kim Kardashian, Kylie Cosmetics by Kylie Jenner, Lady Gaga's Haus Laboratories and Drew Barrymore's Flower. That list is now joined by Selena Gómez, who has just announced that she will soon launch her first makeup line.
"I have a big announcement to make. The news was going to leak, so I decided to say it myself first,”said the singer in a live broadcast that she did on her Instagram account. “I'm going to launch my own beauty brand and it's called Rare Beauty. This is something I started working on two years ago. I found the perfect partners and the ideal team. Right now we have 28 people working for the brand."
The beloved singer did not give many details about the products that her brand will include nor about the formula, but she spoke about what inspired her to create her own brand and what it means to her.
I wanted to create something that everyone loves. It is not just a brand, it is going to be a lifestyle. I want the girls to feel comfortable. I want girls and boys, men and women, and everyone, to enjoy it because it is created to be enjoyed”, explained Gómez in the video. “We are not supposed to look like everyone else. We are supposed to look like us, you must look like you. You are unique. You are a unique beauty”.
