With more than 20 years working in the beauty industry, the Colombian makeup artist Claudia Betancur has a resume full of achievements. From the spectacular list of clients such as Jennifer López, Thalía and Sofía Carson to her work with L'Oréal Paris and her role as co-creator of the Ésika Pro line. The most recent? A new eyeshadow palette called Mid Night Rock by Claudia Betancur created in collaboration with the latter brand and inspired by her long experience with celebrity makeup. Curious to know more details of this collaboration, we spoke with its creator to give us all the details.

As a makeup artist you have tried everything. What did you want to achieve with this palette?

I chose the colors that I use the most with celebrities and transferred them to my palette. We achieve intense colors with perfect pigmentation and a creamier texture.

Was there any inspiration regarding the chosen colors?

My inspiration was a combination of the most trendy and the best that Latin women see, choosing the top colors because I wanted a single palette to give you the opportunity to achieve a dramatic and somewhat more natural look.

What is the most important thing to keep in mind when applying eye makeup?

The shape is important, but what few women know is that we must take into account the color of the eyes, that's why this palette brings the perfect tones for all types of women. For example, if you have brown eyes you should use opposite colors such as dark blue and purple, these will make them look lighter. Also the palette has two matte brown tones that are perfect for any occasion, helps the eyes look less inflamed achieving a natural contouring for the day.

What does it mean to you to have been able to create your own palette with Esika?

It means a lot. Esika is a beautiful company with which I fell in love from the first moment, with them I have managed to get much closer to the Latin woman, being able to share my experience and my knowledge. It was magical! Having this palette in my hands with my name is a dream and a blessing.
