During the winter months the skin suffers a lot and it is not for less. Low temperatures can dry it out too much and leave it dehydrated. But more than the skin, it is the lips that really suffer the ravages of this season. Sometimes just putting on a good lip balm isn't enough. But you have to take into account other factors and take other steps to keep them in optimal conditions and your favorite lipsticks look impeccable.
To find out what precautions you should take and what you should do to prevent lips from suffering in winter, we spoke with Sara Happ, an expert in the field and creator of the lip product line that bears her name, to give us some tips that will help you keep your mouth in optimal conditions.

Do you love matte and strong color lipsticks? Me too, but these products remove hydration from the lips and prevent the oils from the moisturizers from penetrating. Add a little Lip Slip under your favorite lipstick to keep them hydrated. The color will last longer and the lips will not dry out.

At night you have to apply a deep moisturizer and your lips are going to be more sexy than ever.
If your lips are very dry and the skin is lifting, do not try to remove it without first putting a good amount of a moisturizer that has oils and leave it for a few hours. Then delicately stir the product with a napkin. Never remove your skin while your lips are dry.
Normally the lipsticks that give you that beautiful color are the same ones that damage the lips. Make sure that the ones you use have the same oils that you use on your face. Lips need the same love you give your skin.
