"I have a hard time admiring celebrities for their style," he acknowledged. “Because celebrities regardless of whether or not they want them are a created product, they are a created business. I have always worked in that world proudly, but it is a product and then it costs me because I know that there is a lot of money behind […] Of course they look spectacular! [But] I admire more people who are not known but have a personal style."

But not everything has been glamor and flashes in his life. As he himself has recognized, he comes from a humble family and the red carpets came much later in his life.

"As I grew up in a town, in a family of farmers and ranchers, I don't remember ever having fashion magazines around," she recalls of her style references. “I think my grandmother was the one who struck me the most because of her style. She always went with colors and dresses, she had a very marked style. She always wore an Italian bow, jewelry that shone, not luxury because she had no money, but that shone.

The fashion and beauty expert who started in show business as a hairdresser and makeup artist for the singer Alaska in the 80s, has recognized that he is only a fan of designers who have a unique voice and style, such as Dominican Oscar de la Renta.

I will never love a designer who feels he copies others or does not have his own voice. If Oscar de la Renta was my favorite. Wherever we were, we saw a dress and we knew it was his,”she says.
