Target In Trouble Over Lawsuit

Thanks to everything it offers, Target has become one of the favorite stores of many Americans and it is no wonder. It is enough to enter one of its hundreds of establishments in the country to go crazy with so many things to buy. How many of us have gone to Target to buy just one or two things and come out with a whole full cart? I think most do not? And it is that we have become accustomed to finding certain brands that offer and especially those items very similar to other more expensive ones that the store has. It turns out that Burberry is suing Target for allegedly copying its famous plaid print. Yes, the same one that we all know and that for years has been a symbol of the British brand.

In a lawsuit filed in the Southern District of New York, Burberry says the department store misrepresented the famous print and has used it on scarves, handbags, water bottles, and other products. The prestigious brand is concerned that customers will be confused with replicas that are almost exact but according to them, of lower quality. Especially since Target has a history of collaborations with designers.

"At Target, we have great respect for the rights of designers," a Target representative told Instyle.com. "We are aware of the Burberry lawsuit and hope to resolve this in a reasonable manner."

Burberry wants Target to stop producing and selling items with this print they own the rights to. They also ask the company to pay them $ 2 million for each style the store has copied plus attorney fees. This problem seems to be very serious. We hope you can solve it in the best way.
