A well-known Spanish newspaper published this morning a video that has gone viral in which you can see Cristina Cifuentes, former president of the Community of Madrid, allegedly stealing two anti-wrinkle creams from the Olay brand that were around 50 dollars.

As published by OK Diario, a clerk at the Madrid supermarket where the video was recorded 7 years ago discovered Cifuentes and notified security. Later, the supermarket's security guards searched their bags and found two cans that the Spanish media have identified as Olay creams.

I mistakenly and involuntarily took away products worth 40 euros. They told me at the exit, I paid them and the matter was not of major importance,”she explained herself at a press conference in which she announced her resignation.

The Spanish newspaper has also obtained statements from the employee who caught the ex-president of the community of Madrid red-handed in which she admits that she was surprised that a client dressed "in top brand clothing and Prada shoes " risked so much for products that are quite affordable for any pocket.

"She initially denied that she had stolen that merchandise and even said that she had it in her purse before entering the supermarket," Manuel Cerdán, from Ok Diario, explains to the journalist in a video showing two boxes of the Olay's Regenerist line, such as those allegedly carried out by Spanish politics.
