Everything Jennifer López does, whether professionally or personally, is a matter of conversation. But what is always the talk of the press and all her fans are the fabulous outfits she wears both on stage and on one of the rugs she attends. And of course we love to know all the details of each of its pieces, especially if any of them is made by a Latina.

This past weekend, JLo held a massive concert where some of the best artists in the industry participated with the sole purpose of raising funds for people affected by natural disasters in Puerto Rico, Mexico and throughout the Caribbean. During the broadcast of this concert, the singer not only served as a presenter, but also sang some of her hits and chose super-cool outfits for this. Precisely one of them was made by the talented Dominican designer Giannina Azar and she herself tells us all the details about the striking piece.

“The approach with Jlo was through my friend Claudia Zuleta, the stylist who lives in Miami. [She] connected me with her stylist in Los Angeles, Antonio Esteban and we started working on her wardrobe,”the designer of the fringed cream bodysuit that the singer wore during her first presentation, tells People en español. “The dress was made in beaded chains with more than 700 yards of rosegold crystals on a spandex canvas, all embroidered by hand. A spectacular goldsmith piece mounted on Swarovsky crystals was made on the neck”.

Azar, who is already designing another outfit for the artist, is happy that the actress also chose her to create one of her costumes. Of course, the order came with some suggestions.

“They gave me more or less the concept that she wanted. She said the color, the shape. Actually the design was me who created it,”says Azar, who in the past has dressed Thalía, Clarissa Molina and Alejandra Espinoza, among other celebrities. “I feel super happy, excited. I think it is an honor for every designer to wear it.”
