Mexican actress Salma Hayek is in full promotion of her new movie Beatriz at dinner and has taken advantage of the media attention to announce the launch of her new business related to the world of beauty: Blend it Yourself for Juice Generation, a line of smoothies and masks that are sent home.
The range consists of 12 smoothies and three açai bowls that you receive at your home with all the ingredients ready to mix, according to a WWD report. Each of three available blends can be used as a shake to drink or as a skin mask.
“The things that work for your face really also work from the inside out. We have combined some ingredients so that if you do not put it on your face it is still good for your skin, Hayek said in a statement to the website specialized in fashion and beauty.
La Mexicana stated that she has been using these home remedies all her life and that her grandmother did everything with leftovers from food, from face masks to scrubs or whiteners.
“I put on the papaya and avocado smoothie, then I put on makeup and I don't use moisturizer, I don't use eye cream, nothing. My skin feels great, it is not greasy and also, because of the cold, it feels smoother […] you see a difference immediately,”explained the businesswoman and actress.
The service will be available on the Juice Generation website starting next Monday and customers can choose to receive one package a month or one every two months, six, 12 or 24 açai smoothies or bowls.
