The Celebrity Stylist Gives Us The Keys To Wear False Bangs

Have you ever dreamed of cutting your bangs but don't you dare? Before deciding to cut it out for fun, have a try on a removable one, as did Salma Hayek and model Emily Ratajkowski at the Cannes Film Festival, where they emulated the legendary Audrey Hepburn with these looks with false bangs.

We talked to stylist Jennifer Yepez, who is responsible for creating the hairstyles of these celebrities at the most glamorous film festival, and told us the secrets to get no one to know if it is her real hair or not.

The bangs Salma and Emily wore on the Cannes red carpet, are they made of their own hair or are they hairpieces?

They are hairpieces that I get made to measure to make them look real.

Where can they be found?

You can find them anywhere they make custom wigs. I am working on a collaboration that may come out soon, but [anyway] if you have a hairpiece that is not exactly how you want, you can take it to your hairdresser and ask him to cut it to suit you.

What is most important for it to look natural?

The key is to find the perfect color, neither too light nor too dark. If you have highlights, [I recommend] taking it to your colorist to apply the same shade, it is best.

And to fix it?

Make sure it is completely flat. Apply lacquer at the root and use a brush or comb to make it as flat as possible. I like to use small "u" hairpins to fix it well.

What inspired you to create these looks?

In the actresses Sofía Loren and Audrey Hepburn. I love her look at Breakfast at Tiffany´s, but with a more modern air.
