Nordstrom Stops Selling Clothes

Since the new President of the United States began his term, the Trump family has received many attacks. Barron, the youngest son of Donald Trump has been the target of ridicule and attacks on social networks, and now it is his daughter Ivanka who faces bad news. The department store Nordstrom has decided to stop selling its collection due to the few sales it has generated in the last year.

"We have always said that we made the decision [to buy] a collection based on how it is sold," a company representative said in a statement sent to Fortune magazine. "In this case, based on the brand's success, we decided not to buy it this season."

Since her father started her candidacy for the presidency, Ivanka has faced rejection from many consumers, who have decided not to buy her products that include clothing, shoes, accessories and fine jewelry. So it is no surprise that the line is now not being as successful at Nordstrom, which started selling it in 2011.

"No matter what we do, we're going to disappoint some customers anyway," Pete Nordstrom, the company's co-president, said in an email sent to his employees in November that was later obtained by Fortune. "Each brand we offer is evaluated according to its results. If people don't buy it, we are not going to sell it.”

It should be remembered that just last January, Ivanka said that she would be indefinitely absent from her duties as head of her company and the Trump organization, but that she was sure that both companies would continue to work wonderfully.

Apparently, at least in her company, things are not going as she expected. Now it only remains to wait if the daughter of the President decides to return to the front of it or if she prefers to continue as an adviser to her father.
