TOMS footwear brand and Nepalese fashion designer Prabal Gurung have teamed up to raise money for Nepal with a special collection.
The couturier who created the Shikshya Foundation of Nepal five years ago, who benefits this collection, with an educational focus, told TIME magazine, “Since the earthquake in 2015, we have gathered more than loosely in his country and in your culture. “The ikat print is called Dhaka, it is a hand-knitted fabric that I wanted to modernize by going digital. Black, white and red are very typical colors for Newari women (from the Kathmandu valley) and they are my favorite colors”she explained. “What excites me about collaborating with [TOMS] is that we share the desire to inspire others and give back. We are coming together to make a difference in the world through what we do,”said the designer.

For every pair sold, it happens with all TOMS shoes and its One for One program, a new pair of shoes will be donated to a child with few resources.
