Rihanna Designs Modern Sunglasses With Dior (PHOTOS)

Rihanna continues to take leaps and bounds in the fashion world. Now the singer is preparing to launch a collection of glasses with Dior.

The line will have a single style, which will be available in silver, pink, blue, green, red and a deluxe version that will have the gold-plated frame.

The lenses, in the different colors, will have a premium price. “I literally sat there and started drawing until I was satisfied with the design. Then the team illustrated it. We chose the materials and colors right then and there."

This is the second time that the artist works with the prestigious French brand, since last year the interpreter was the image of one of its advertising campaigns.

"We are very grateful to be working with Rihanna a second time," said Sidney Toledano, Dior's chief executive. "She is an artist, businesswoman, philanthropist and a style icon for this generation." The collection, which bears the artist's same name, will be sold exclusively in Dior stores from June.

"She chose all the materials," said Mathieu Jamin, the firm's designer of lenses. "We had a lot of samples and different metals. She chose everything and took the time to combine the colors and see if they were appropriate for her face. That was very important to her."
