Target debuts the Lúcete a tu manera campaign starring Gaby Espino, Rita Moreno, and other inspiring Latinas who are making their mark on their community.
The campaign, which seeks to celebrate the style of Hispanic consumers and whose commercials will appear for the first time on national television this Thursday during the Billboard Awards, has Espino very excited, who hopes that the initiative will inspire.
“I loved the campaign from the first moment and it was the best to work with such professional influencers and talents from whom so much can be learned. I am very happy,”said the Venezuelan actress. “I think that spreading the message [of] Lúcete your way, serves so that all women are not afraid to show themselves as they are and to do what really makes them happy. Latinas have our curves, our way of dancing, speaking, and we have to be proud of our customs and features.”
The host of the Billboard gala also said she was happy that a company like Target is campaigning especially for Hispanic women.
"We are millions of Latinos living and working a lot in the United States and companies as immense as Target increasingly recognize the importance we have in their market," he explained. "I love that they carry out campaigns especially directed at us because they show the strength we have and that fills me with pride."
Similarly, Moreno declared herself proud to be part of this initiative that puts her culture on high.
“Hispanics play an increasingly important role in our community and [in the] economy. In addition to adding diversity to culture, we enrich it and add value to it,”the legendary Puerto Rican artist happily observed. “I am delighted to be a part of Target's Make It Your Way campaign and to be able to help my community stand out in a positive way.
To which he added: "I hope that this campaign inspires a feeling of security and courage in each of us, to get up and say: 'I am who I am and I am happy with myself.'"
Some of the personalities who participated in the commercial have already been uploading videos to social networks doing dubbing synchronizing their lips singing the song "It's me."
These fun videos want viewers to be urged to do the same for the topic so they have a chance to appear in one of Target's commercials that will air during the awards.
Other enterprising and influential women of this generation who participate in the different commercials are vlogger Dulce Candy, models Carmen Carrera and Jocelyn Corona, and coach Massiel Massy Indhira Arias, among others.
