The Mexican first lady, Angélica Rivera, adorns the cover of the new edition of Marie Claire Mexico with her daughter Sofía Castro, making her the first wife of a president of the Aztec country to pose for a fashion magazine.
The soap opera actress, known as the Seagull for her remembered character in Distilling love (2007), posed with much aplomb and intense looks for the cover photo.
The editorial director of Marie Claire Latin America, Ariadne Grant, was in charge of interviewing the mother and daughter. "They talk about their childhood, careers, goals, experiences in the presidential house and their multiple facets as women," she explained.
In the 22-page article for which he opened the doors of Los Pinos, the president's official residence, Rivera talks about what a woman should never give up. “There are three things in life that no one can take from you: your freedom, your essence and your dignity. "We use garments with minimalist cuts to achieve an elegant style, through 'less is more'", said the coordinator of Marie Claire Latin America, Alicia León.
Castro, for his part, was effusive in the networks on the cover: “Cover of Julio Marie Claire with the most beautiful mother! Thank you!"
The former Miss Universe Ximena Navarrete responded to Sofia to congratulate her: “Sofia, how beautiful! I loved the cover. You look spectacular!"
