Violeta Isfel has probably never felt so much fear in her life as the day she made the brave decision to support her son Omar alone when she was just 19 years old. "The moment I realized that it was just her and me and that no one else was going to help me at some point if I panicked," the Mexican actress told an exclusive interview for People en español.

"What terrified me most was being alone with him and that he could not work or that he could not find a job, or that he had no one to leave him with while working," she confesses.

His initial fear, however, gradually faded as time passed. "Thanks to my parents who obviously supported me a lot and to get my batteries on the job, suddenly everything started to take on a wonderful shape," stresses the renowned 33-year-old interpreter.

Just as he allowed him to raise his son and not lack anything, Isfel is aware that his career also prevented him from sharing all the time he would have liked with his offspring.

"When I entered Atrévete a Soñar (2009), my son was 6 years old, and I couldn't teach him to ride a bicycle, for example," he says. “I remember that my dad spoke to me on the phone one day saying that Omar already knew how to ride a bicycle and at the time he hit me a lot because it was something I wanted to live with him, but at the same time he said 'if I don't work there is no bicycle'. As I began to understand that maybe it was not the mother of quantity, but of quality. So every time I saw my son, I tried to make it a very funny or extraordinary moment, or we did crazy or funny things,”she adds.

Today the actress can not be more proud of the relationship she has with her first-born.

“I think I am a mother who is concerned and very concerned with communication with her son. For me, communicating with my son is the most important thing, I really like listening to him, knowing where he is, what he needs. I am a mom you can trust. We talk absolutely about all the topics you need to talk about and discuss”, says the unforgettable Antonella from Dare to Dream.

"[I'm] also a mom, I think it's very funny, or at least he has told me that he's having a blast. We had fun and laughed a lot. We are just as crazy I think, "he admits.

"But he knows that I am his mother, as if there are limit points", he clarifies.

"Then I think he is a father. It is a fairly balanced relationship, "he concludes.
