The goalkeeper of the Spanish team, Iker Casillas, showed the world the first photo of his son Martín Casillas Carbonero through his website Iker Casillas World.
"Who was going to tell me when I was 32 years old that the best possible gift that SSMM Los Reyes Magos would give me would be now and not when I was the age of innocence … Welcome to my world, Martín!" He wrote with the image the captain of the Spanish team and proud father.
It was on January 3 when his girlfriend, the presenter Sara Carbonero, gave birth by caesarean section to the first-born of the couple, who has already become the most famous baby in Spain.
The boy's mother is still admitted to the Rúber Internacional Hospital, where she is recovering after delivery and is expected to be discharged in the next few hours, according to the Spanish newspaper El País.
It was Casillas himself who gave the news of Martín's birth through a statement, and through the message “Martín is already here, the three of them are very happy together”, which he published on his Twitter account.
The relationship between Iker Casillas and Sara Carbonero has been one of the most followed by the media and the kiss that Casillas gave Carbonero while interviewing him after winning the World Cup went around the world.
