Future dad Josh Duhamel confirmed with good humor that he and his wife Fergie will be welcoming a baby boy in late August or early September.
The actor from the movie Transformers confirmed the sex of his first-born during the filming of the television program LIVE with Kelly and Michael that will be broadcast on Wednesday.
During a segment called “Du or Don't, Part II: Baby Edition,” Kelly Ripa showed two full-length baby clothes - one pink and one blue - and asked Duhamel to choose one. The actor initially made himself shy, prompting the audience before grabbing the blue piece and lifting it in triumph.
This news comes within days of the pregnant singer officially changing her name to Fergie Duhamel, thus ensuring that everyone in the family has the same last name. Solidarity is very important to the couple, Duhamel explained.
“I couldn't conceive of having a child and then not being able to be present, that would drive me crazy. My mind would be at home with mom and baby,”said the actor recently. “We want to organize ourselves so that we can be together; if I am working they can come with me, and if she is working I can go with them. I am never far from my wife and son.”
