Mariela Encarnación Speaks For The First Time About Her Newborn Daughter: "We Are Celebrating!"

CNN en Español presenter Mariela Encarnación is happy with the new member of her family: little Ella Mari -Mariella, written backwards-, born on April 15.

In exclusive statements for People en Español, Mariela, who is also the mother of Giuseppe, 4, spoke for the first time about the joy that having a girl has meant to her.

"I remember that when we found out it was a girl, I screamed so loudly that they heard me in the office lobby where we did the ultrasound," she says. "It was a magical day, I went shopping immediately."

How do you feel about being a mom a second time?

That I am greatly blessed, having this baby has been something that we long for, so we are celebrating!

How does your son feel about having a little sister?

A lot of emotion. He mentions her all the time and has been involved in everything from getting pregnant until he was born.

How did it feel to see the baby?

I felt "love at first sight" I was stuck watching it for so long. She managed to hypnotize me with love and continues to do so.

What excites you about having a daughter?

See in it my extension of woman. I wish with my daughter to have the relationship that I have with my mother; we are friends, best friends and at the same time life partners.

What is the most beautiful thing about being a mother?

The limitless love that as human beings we are capable of feeling. Live with a new illusion every day, each new stage, each dream of theirs as if they were ours.
