Nearly 1.8 million viewers (P2 +) made El dragon one of the most watched fictions in Hispanic prime time during its grand finale last Monday.

The series that starred with great success Sebastián Rulli and Renata Notni closed its story with the surprising death of Adela (Notni), its protagonist.

An event that not only shocked the public but also the Mexican actress, who could not help crying when she read the scene in the script at the time. In an exclusive interview with People en Español, the 25-year-old interpreter takes stock of her participation in this series and is honest about the tragic outcome of her character.

I wish that love had triumphed, but I like that it was something different and predictable zero

Now that the series is over, what balance do you make of your participation in this story?

I feel happy and grateful more than not with all the beautiful people who supported us from day one until the end of this story for loving Adela so much and for sending me so much energy so beautiful. And obvious with my producers for giving me the opportunity to play this character that undoubtedly occupies a very special place in my heart. It was worth it every day from morning, to sleepless and all the work we did. It was totally worth it.

The dragon was a huge challenge. I lived an incredible 8 month trip, full of learning and I take beautiful people

What did participating in The Dragon mean for you personally and professionally?

A huge challenge in every way. Personally I lived an incredible 8-month trip, full of learning and I took beautiful people. And professionally it was a beautiful thing. Adela helped me touch many hearts. She was an endearing character to whom I learned too much and I know that many women also identified with Adela. And I love that.

The death of your character generated a lot of sadness and anger among the viewers, what did you think of the ending it had?

I found it very strong. When I read the script I cried a lot. At first it seemed very unfair to me because I said 'Adela is not to blame'; however she for love also made wrong decisions and absolutely everything in life has consequences. It may not have been her exactly who hurt others, but she was part of and entered a very dangerous world. And in a moment she was aware and for love made the decision to stay.

Renata Notni and Sebastián Rulli in The Dragon.

The dragon left my staff very high. I hope a project that excites me so much comes into my life

Was it the end you expected or would you have liked another outcome?

Of course I would have liked it to be open for another season and love to triumph. But I like that it was something different and zero predictable.

What message would you like to give to viewers who didn't want your character to die?

Only thank you for loving Adela so much, thank you for following her story and it hurt as much or more than they did. I am infinitely grateful to them.

What's next for you after The Dragon?

The dragon left my staff very high. I have a lot of plans for this year: cinema, theater … And I hope that a television project will come into my life that will fill me, challenge me, and move me as much as The Dragon.
