On October 14, during the premiere of the seventh season of The Lord of the Skies, Telemundo killed the protagonist of his superstar series, Aurelio Casillas (Rafael Amaya), before almost two million viewers (P2 +). An unexpected and surprising event that generated the anger of many fans of veteran fiction and caused a significant flight of viewers who gradually lost interest in the narco-novel after Amaya's departure.
Now, 50 chapters later and close to 1 million viewers (P2 +) less, the network has begun to promote the imminent outcome of what has ended up calling it 'the most controversial season of all'.
And, contrary to what happened recently with the fiction starring Carmen Villalobos, it seems that there will be 'lord of the skies' for a while since to date it has not been announced that it is the end of the saga despite the significant decrease in audience that has recorded the superset.
"The culminating stage of the most controversial season of all begins," Telemundo announced for several days with hype and saucer through a promotional video in which the chain plays with the illusion of viewers by leaving the door open to a possible return of its protagonist after showing some images in which Rutila Casillas (Carmen Aub) is seen hugging her father, Aurelio Casillas (Amaya), while listening to him say 'he is alive'.
"Its beginning was shocking, its end will surprise you", Telemundo advances along with the promotional video.
Although the way in which the video was edited hints that Aurelio could return, the truth is that some fans did not take long to realize that the scene is not unpublished.
"Do not be excited, it is a memory. Look at chapter 26 of the sixth season, "warned a follower of the narconovela on networks.
Indeed, the scene shown in the promotional video belongs to the previous season of the superset just when Rutila finds out that 'Superjavi' is alive.
"Hopefully Aurelio does return so that the series makes sense again", you can read among the thousands of comments that have flooded the social networks of The Lord of the Skies.
With the return of Aurelio or without his return, Telemundo will end the seventh season of the fiction -we'll see if the saga too- in early February -the day has yet to be confirmed- since the new superseries of the chain, Operation Peaceful, with Majida Issa will be released on February 10 in the same time slot.
The Lord of the Skies airs at 10 PM ET on Telemundo.
