Kicking off Miami Swim Week, Adrienne Bailon, unveiled a new swimsuit that was the brainchild of a vibrant partnership between Jose Cuervo, the 221-year-old tequila brand, and resort wear brand 6 Shore Road by Pooja.
Inspired by the bold colors of the Jose Cuervo Authentic Margarita bottles and the beach-to-bar lifestyle, the companies created a limited edition floral swimsuit for those brave enough to make a statement at the pool or on the beach.
With her love for tequila and swimsuits, Bailon found the partnership to be a match made in heaven. She spoke to Chica about preparing the perfect cocktail, feeling confident in swimwear and what's in her beach bag this summer.
Favorite Swimsuit
I usually go for monokini, things that are flattering. I hate the idea of when you get to my age-and I say my age like I'm so old-but I think it's so much easier to be in something you're comfortable in.”
Summer Fun Must-Haves
You need good music for sure. I think being comfortable is super-important. So make sure that whatever bathing suit you choose, you feel great in it. And honestly, great drinks, I think that's what makes the festivities amazing.”
Favorite Drink to Make
Everyone's go-to is a margarita. There are so many people that are anti-certain drinks or certain kind of alcohol, but you never hear anyone say no to a margarita. It's good for everyone!”

“I like to make my drinks look pretty so I go and I get really fancy glasses, great margarita glasses, and add a garnish on top. You slice a tangerine. You throw it on there and your friends think you're fancy. Trust me. Totally Martha Stewart over here with my drinks.”
