A shooting occurred on the campus of UCLA on Wednesday morning leading the university to a campuswide lockdown.

The shooting victim was William S. Klug, an associate professor in the university's Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department

The gunman was Mainak Sarkar who graduated from UCLA in 2013 with a Ph. D. in engineering. After the murder, Sarker fatally shot himself.

A note that was entitled “Kill list,” was found in Sarkar's Minnesota home, said Los Angeles police Chief Charlike Beck.

A woman's name was found on the list and Minnoesota police found her dead with a gunshot wound. The unnamed woman was believed to be killed hours before the campus shooting.

A third name on the list was another professor that was not on campus when the incident took place.

Police are searching for the shooter's car to find more evidence.
