While nothing had been confirmed, Perry tweeted a link to the song “Is That All There Is ?,” by Peggy Lee, which led followers and gossip websites into a frenzy.
Katy put an end to the madness by tweeting a link of an article Bloom wrote for Time about his work with UNICEF as a goodwill ambassador in Eastern Ukraine.
The 31-year-old singer wrote, “Instead of giving energy & eyeballs to dumb conspiracy, check out how cool this is” with the hashtag #dontfeedthebeast.
Gomez then added her seal of approval and retweeted Perry's post, adding a praise-hands emoji, basically saying, “What she said, case closed.”
