The series that ended in 2007 is coming back to the screen, computer screen that is. Gilmore Girls creator Amy Sherman-Palladino is filming a four-part reboot for Netflix.
Alexis Bledel and Lauren Graham, who are on this week's cover story of Entertainment Weekly, will be returning to Stars Hollow. “You know how you finish college and you're a few years older and you're like, 'I wish I could go do this now' cause I would appreciate it so much more and understand it and get more out of it '? That's the opportunity I have with this, and I appreciate every day that I'm here,”stated Graham to EW.
Melissa McCarthy, or Sookie, will also be joining the cast as she announced Thursday on Ellen DeGeneres ' show. "Literally about an hour and a half ago, we figured out that I'm going to go back and do it, and I am so excited!" McCarthy said. "They're gonna be amazing."
Netflix has not announced a release date for the awaited revival, which will be packaged as four 90-minute episodes.
