In The Forgotten Daughter, Correa takes up the story of the passengers who were forced to return to Europe to face another atrocity in France through the story of Amanda Sternberg. The plot, inspired by real events, focuses on this German Jew who fled the Nazis with her two daughters during World War II and on Elise Duval, 80, who is forced to reconcile with her past after receiving in the Current New York letters in German written by her mother.
