The date of March 17th will go down in history - and no, it's not just because it's St. Patrick's Day. It's because the live-action remake of Beauty and the Beast from Disney is going to be released. While we could not be more excited for Emma Watson and Dan Stevens in Beauty and the Beast (like, seriously, has there ever been a more anticipated movie release ?!), there are plenty of other Disney and Pixar movies being released in 2017 to help us get through the rest of the year.
Even if you're not into the live-action remakes of the animated Disney classics (I mean, we kind of understand), there is still plenty to look forward to in 2017 (have you seen the first poster for Coco ??). Thanks to the iconic company being in business with Pixar, Marvel, and Lucasfilm, Disney is releasing animated and superhero movies in 2017, too - as well as the next episode in that little unknown franchise called Star Wars.
Although Lion King, A Wrinkle in Time, and Cruella won't be out for another year or two, here are seven movies that will be out in 2017 that we're totally pumped about.
1. Beauty and the Beast
We've sufficiently covered how we're totally ready to say, "Bonjour!" to this bad boy on March 17th.
2. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
The most delightful superhero movie of all time releases its sequel on May 5th.
3. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales
While we have lost count of how many Pirates of the Caribbean movies there have been (JK, it's five), the latest one comes out on May 26th.
4. Cars 3
Pixar releases the third edition of this Owen Wilson movies on June 16th.
5. Thor: Ragnarok
Although we've seen Thor and his almighty hammer in Avengers movies, they return for their third movie that's all about them on November 3rd.
6. Coco
The most original movie on the list belongs to Pixar's Coco, which follows Miguel into the Land of the Dead on November 22nd.
7. Star Wars: The Last Jedi
We think it's safe to say that we saved the best for last. The second installment of the third trilogy of Star Wars that had been shrouded in secrecy comes out on December 15th.
Thanks to Disney, 2017 is bound to be a pretty good year and it all kicks off with Beauty and the Beast. See you at the movies!
