An elderly couple died the same day from the coronavirus. Feliks Ogorodnik and his wife Luiza died Saturday at Glenbrook Hospital in Glenview, Illinois. The loving couple died just hours apart from COVID-19. On Saturday, Feliks, 88, died after 5 p.m. and about four hours later, his wife Luiza, 84, went on to lead a better life at the same medical center, the Chicago Sun Times reports. The couple - who had other pre-existing medical conditions - died of pneumonia after catching this virus. The family assures the Chicago Tribune that they do not know how the elderly were infected with Covid-19.

"They were a beautiful couple," his son-in-law Ed Greenwald told the newspaper. "They were wonderful and loving grandparents, they were an integral part of our family." The couple leaves behind their two daughters - Irina Greenwald and Janina Schnaper - and four grandchildren.

Both emigrated from Ukraine to the United States more than 20 years ago, and according to their obituary, they were grateful to have fulfilled their American dream and to be American citizens. Feliks was an assortment manager for a construction company while his wife Luiza was a doctor. "He loved people and was always looking for ways to help people around him," adds his obituary. For Feliks "family was everything", assure his loved ones about his grandfather, who was a great gardener. The family describes Luiza as "a woman full of energy, optimism and life" who was passionate about books and theater. "Your family and friends around the world will miss you immensely," concludes the obituary. May they rest in peace.
