The businesswoman and influencer Mariand Castrejón Castañeda, better known as Yuya, became one of the 10 women with the most purchasing power in Mexico, according to the High Level publication in that country.

Yuya, who appears at number eight on the list, used his popularity on social media and took advantage of his positioning to create his own beauty products company that includes shampoos and conditioners, lipsticks, enamels and perfumes, among other personal care products..

"Our makeup brand is the reflection of one of the biggest dreams of my life, I have put all my love, my time, my energy and my effort into it," says Yuya on his website.

The successful Mexican businesswoman appears on the list with multi-millionaires such as María Asunción Aramburuzabala, from Grupo Modelo; Blanca Treviño, President and CEO of Softtek; and Eva Gonda de Rivera, who controls 50 percent of Femsa's shares; among other.

According to the newspaper El Universal, Alto Nivel is a platform in charge of analyzing issues related to politics and finance. To prepare the list, not only the monetary power of women is evaluated, but it is also taken into account if they are business owners.

Yuya was born in Cuernavaca, Mexico, and began creating content for social media at age 16 after winning a makeup contest in 2009. Throughout her career, she has written two books: “Yuya's Secrets” and Yuya's Confessions.

In 2017 she launched her makeup collection and has her own website where she distributes her beauty products. Her YouTube channel has 24.2 million subscribers.
