At school some classmates called her "weird" and made fun of her, but if there is anything strange about Adhara Pérez, it is that the 8-year-old Mexican girl is a genius. The extraordinary little girl has an IQ (or IQ) of 162, slightly higher than that of geniuses like Albert Einstein or Stephen Hawking, who had an IQ of 160, according to reports.

The Yucatan Times reports that when Adhara was 3 years old, the girl was diagnosed with Asperger syndrome, a condition on the autism spectrum that can cause difficulties in social interaction. The girl told the newspaper that she was teased at school and that she was a victim of bullying since some children insulted her, calling her "rare" or "strange".

Her mother Nallely Sánchez revealed to the newspaper that she saw how some children locked her in a toy house and began to name her names. This caused the girl a severe depression, says the mother, and Adhara no longer wanted to go to school. The teachers told her that the girl fell asleep in the classroom and showed no interest in the lessons.

It was then that the mother took her to therapy and that's when they realized that Adhara had a very high IQ. After changing her to an educational system according to her qualities, the girl began to shine in her classes. Adhara finished elementary school at the age of 5, middle school at 6, and high school at age 8, the Yucatan Times reported. Now she is allegedly taking internet courses to graduate as an industrial engineer. The little girl's dream is to be an astronaut and work at NASA.

The girl has written a book recounting her experiences and was selected by Forbes magazine as one of the 100 most powerful women in Mexico. The girl is studying English so that she can study at the University of Arizona, where she hopes to specialize in astrophysics. There seems to be no limits to it!
