A man in New Jersey was accused of killing a young Hispanic woman, hanging her while they had sex. Both were reportedly drunk and Michael Gaffney, 21, posted a nude photo of Francis Victoria Garcia, 19, on Snapchat before asking for help when the girl did not respond. The judge in charge of the case said in court that Gaffney, who was arrested in early November, posted the photo of the dead and naked girl on Snapchat with the disparaging message “I just [had sex] with this bitch. Passed out. I do not know what to do".
Gaffney faces charges of manslaughter. As reported by the New York Post, the two met by mutual friends at a Halloween party and then went to Garcia's car to have sex. The man is accused of hanging the young woman during the sexual act and then asking friends for help when he saw that the girl was unconscious. Garcia was found in her car around 2:14 am and was pronounced dead.
Gaffney's attorney, Adam Lustberg, told NJ.com that they are awaiting a detailed autopsy report to get a clearer picture of Garcia's cause of death. According to the coroner, García died by hanging and the level of alcohol in his blood was three times that allowed by law. Rest in peace.
