A man spread terror in a school in China. The attacker reportedly scaled the wall of a daycare building, spraying people inside with a chemical, burning 51 years and three teachers. The suspect is a 23-year-old man identified only by his last name, Kong. The man cut wires and scaled the wall of the Dongcheng Kindergarten in Kaiyuan.
The South China Morning Post reported that the man sprayed sodium hydroxide, a substance also known as caustic soda, on students and teachers on Monday around 3:30 pm About 40 minutes later Kong was arrested, according to authorities..
The attacker is believed to have acted alone and was seeking "revenge on society," the Xinhua news agency reported. All the wounded were taken to a nearby hospital. Two people have been reported to have serious burns but so far all have survived.
Kong bought the corrosive chemical online, according to statements by the Kaiyuan municipal government obtained by the South China Morning Post. The terrible incident is still under investigation and has shocked the world.
