The superseries promise to continue giving war in the prime time of Telemundo. The Spanish-language network officially announced the start of recordings of Operación Pacífico, one of its new and ambitious fiction bets for the first quarter of next year that promises to repeat the success of El señor de los cielos.
The story, which began to take shape several months ago in Colombia, marks the return to Spanish-language television of Colombian actress Majida Issa, who gave life for three seasons to 'La diabla' in the hit soap opera Sin senos si hay paradise..
"Ladies and gentlemen, this story is absolutely beautiful, profound, dizzying, exciting, shocking … We already want to tell you everything," the 38-year-old interpreter expressed recently through her social networks.
The actress will share credits in this new superset with the Mexican heartthrob Mark Tacher, who played Alejandro Alcalá in the second season of La reina del sur.
“The beginning of a new adventure. Great companions and an exceptional story. An apology for triumph. They cannot be missed,”the Mexican interpreter wrote.
The leading triangle of this story is completed by the Venezuelan actor Luciano D´Alessandro, who gave life to Román in the successful soap opera Mi gorda bella.
"For 2020 on Telemundo a great project is coming," said Alessandro on Instagram.
Operation Pacific, which will also feature the performance of Johanna Fadul, who gave life to La diabla's daughter in the successful Telemundo soap opera Sin senos si hay paradise, tells the story of Amalia Ortega (Majida), a prominent and brilliant federal agent from the secret investigative unit of the National Police that has the mission and personal objective of capturing 'El Guapo', one of the last drug traffickers on the northern border of Mexico.
To achieve this, Amalia must infiltrate not only the drug trafficking networks, but also the corruption networks of the highest levels of power in her country, risking her own life and that of her family.
The superset will premiere next year on Telemundo during primetime.
