Lupita Ferrer is ready to tell the story of her life in the play Lupita Ferrer: Drama Queen that begins this week in Miami.
With 50 years of experience, the Venezuelan actress says that there is a lot of fabric to cut in terms of anecdotes from her personal life and this will be reflected in the work directed by Venezuelan filmmaker Abraham Pulido.
“It is the paradox that exists in many artists. We want to be famous, we want success, we want fame, but at the same time, women above all want a satisfying personal life. We want a couple, children, if possible, and there are very few of us who have achieved that combination,”Lupita exclusively confessed to People En Español.
Ferrer was honest about the family sacrifices he has had to make to keep his professional life active and take advantage of every project that comes his way.
“It is an interesting problem, that has been a bit of the drama of my life. That I have had a great, professional success - I cannot complain - with the press, everyone loves me. But in my personal life I have been affected, affected, yes”.
"I could not have children, the marriages did not work for various reasons that are included there in the work."
What do we expect in the work?
"I start by asking God to take away that fame, that thing and let me be an anonymous, normal and ordinary person like I could never be," says Lupita, speaking of how the show reflects a large percentage of her personal life, but in a more theatrical way, and casting only a few details.
The play Lupita Ferrer: Drama Queen will present its performances October 16-20 on the Wynwood Walk.
