Ana de la Reguera is part of a production that describes the reality behind the immigration debate currently underway in the United States.

The Mexican stars in the movie Collision with Jesse García and the young actress Izabella Álvarez, who although produced four years ago, will make her television debut on October 5.

In Collision, De la Reguera plays a mother who was detached from her children to be imprisoned, causing her children to search for her whereabouts. We talked to Ana about her role. 馜ãÇÓζ} ÆÝíï9 {¦ »ïG¶áþ; iÏt ÷ Þ}

Why was making this character important to you?

Family separation has been going on in the United States for years with the migration process that exists, but it still took much more strength when things got worse. Now it is a more aggressive and inhumane way. If the fact that I was in the movie meant that it was going to take much more strength, well I was delighted.

How did you prepare for this role?

You don't have to be a mother to feel. It's just that they can separate you from a family member, a brother, or your mom herself, you know? It is any family member, friend who is detaching you from what you love the most. That someone dies is the same feeling. This is how I took it at the time, as a painful detachment that any human being can feel.

Do you think that Latinos can influence the next elections in the United States?

Definitely every vote counts. Although in the United States it is a strange question with the question of the states. Sometimes that format of the vote they have in the United States is sometimes disappointing. Yes it is super important that we do it. Until just last year I have the right to vote and of course I will. I invite everyone not to be afraid and to know that this vote is very important.
