The expensive jewels, the exotic cars, the clothes of international brands that celebrities usually wear are too much temptation for lovers of the foreign, who do not stop at anything to get hold of such precious loot.
Several celebrities have been affected by the wave of robberies that have shaken Hollywood lately. Singers Adam Lambert and Usher, American football star Shaun Phillips and reality star Dorit Kemsley of the popular Real Housewives franchise are the latest victims of the thieves, who apparently used their access to big celebrities to seize their belongings.
According to TMZ, well-known real estate broker Jason Emil Yaselli and an alleged accomplice, Benjamin Ackerman, have been accused of committing thefts from artists between December 2016 and August 2018, in some gray-haired people when they allegedly took advantage of the fact that they were showing victims' properties to potential buyers.
Yaselli was arrested last Wednesday on charges of identity theft, conspiracy to commit a robbery, money laundering, fraud and embezzlement.
According to the arrest warrant filed against the defendants, Yaselli urged his accomplice to steal luxury items from 14 residences and then sell them and use the proceeds to cover credit card debt.
Ackerman's attorneys assured TMZ that his client is innocent and accused the prosecution of seeking "publicity." Your client could be released on bail for $ 1.73 million for Yaselli.
If found guilty, the men could face up to 31 years in prison.
