President Donald Trump's controversial visit to El Paso, Texas after the massacre of last weekend that took the lives of 22 people continues to give much to talk about.
This Thursday, the first lady Melania Trump posted on her official networks a photo where she appears carrying a 2-month-old baby who was orphaned due to the shooting when her parents Andre and Jordan Anchondo covered his body to save him, losing his life in the process.
The photo shows President Trump smiling from ear to ear with both thumbs up.
The photograph was taken during his visit to the University Medical Center in El Paso, where multiple victims were treated. By the way, the president was received at the gates of the hospital by angry protests from those who censured his presence in that city with deep Hispanic roots.
This is not the first time that Trump has been outraged in this way. In 2018, she also appeared smiling from ear to ear and raising her thumb when visiting the Broward Health North hospital in Florida that welcomed the victims of the deadly shooting at the Marjory Stoneman school in Parkland.
Back then, network users wondered how the president could appear smiling in the midst of so much pain after 17 people, most of them minors, had lost their lives.
Trump's encounter with El Paso victims occurred mostly behind closed doors and out of the camera eye. Eight people remain hospitalized in that place due to the shooting. Five of them rejected the President's visit.
