Shanice Martin, 24, was formally accused of attacking her two young children, just 2 and 6 years old, with a stabbing weapon on a busy street in New York City. Although the two little ones managed to get out alive from their mother's fierce attack, the older one lost her life weeks later, after she collapsed in her school cafeteria.

The terrible crime shook the Big Apple a few weeks ago, after the same woman turned herself in to the police, bathed in sandre, after having seriously injured her two sons on the throat on the night of April 27.

According to reports on what happened, after Martin attacked his little ones, he abandoned them in serious conditions on a street in the renowned sector of Morrisania, in the Bronx. People passing by helped the little ones, who were found covered in blood by the injured on their necks.

The woman then reportedly went to a nearby police station where the crime occurred to turn herself in to the authorities. Information about the case adds that Martin arrived at the unit with his clothes soaked in the blood of his two children.

A report by the New York Post reported that the woman suffered from mental problems and that she also had a long history of domestic incidents and problems with the authorities, for which she had been arrested on more than one occasion.

Martin faces charges of attempted second-degree murder, first- and second-degree assault, criminal possession of a weapon, and endangering the welfare of minors. If found guilty, the woman could spend several years in prison.
