Beauty queens always have everything under control … At least it's what you think every time you walk down a catwalk. But that was not the case of Angie Paola Martínez, Miss Summer 2018 of the Municipality of San Vicente del Caguán in Caquetá, Colombia.
Martinez was preparing to deliver the crown to his successor, but before reaching the stage, he had to cross a mud path in heels. Luckily, he found an aide-de-camp who offered to carry him so he wouldn't get his shoes dirty.
But a false step caused them both to go to the ground causing the young woman to suffer blows to the head and back and end up being rescued by the ambulance.
According to information from the La Red (Caracol) program in Colombia, paramedics confirmed that the young woman came out unscathed.
After the scare and the dangerous fall of the beauty queen, the festival that would be the coronation was canceled due to heavy rains and pending a new date of completion.
