Nanny Lirio Jazmín Godínez-González declined to call 911 after the seven-month-old baby she cared for fell unconscious after suffering a serious fall. Godínez, 33, who has been in the Chesterfield County Jail without bail since December 28, 2018, called the baby's mother after the accident but refused to speak to an ambulance despite requests from the mother.

Ashley Michelle Bonilla Rodríguez, was at her family's home in Chesterfield on December 27, 2018, under the care of her babysitter. That day the baby fell and hit her head. She was rushed to a hospital after her mom called the police.

“She [Ashley's mom] said [to the babysitter]: 'What's wrong with my daughter? Call the ambulances if she doesn't respond,”explained Eddie Villa, a family friend. “[The babysitter] refused to do it. [Godínez-González] told her to go pick up [Ashley] at her house.”

Already at the hospital, Ashley was diagnosed with severe head trauma, the baby did not respond the last three days of her life. She died on December 30, 2018.
