César Román, Spanish businessman and main suspect in the murder of the young Honduran Heidi Paz Bulnes, has allegedly pleaded not guilty to the charges against him for the death of his partner.
The murder of the 25-year-old girl shook the community of the city of Madrid, since her body was found completely dismembered inside a suitcase located in a building in the Spanish capital and owned by Román, as reported by the Honduran newspaper La Prensa.
After the discovery of the macabre crime, the authorities in charge of the investigation took several weeks to locate and arrest the Spanish businessman, who changed his physical appearance and identity in an apparent attempt to evade the police. Just days ago, the arrest of the suspect was confirmed, who was found working in a restaurant as a chef and calling himself "Rafael".
Javier Notivoli, lawyer Román, assured that his client at all times has denied being responsible for the heinous crime that ended the life of whoever was his partner. "He knows the facts imputed to him, a crime of murder, and they assure me that he is totally and absolutely innocent of the charges against him," the litigant assured.
The legal defender of the Spanish businessman assured that for now he could not reveal more details of the investigation against his client but he did add that his attitude is one of "total cordiality" and that the authorities are comparing both his DNA and his fingerprints with the evidence that exists of the crime.
Although Román continues to be the main suspect in the murder, versions assure that the crime could also be due to a settling of accounts against the businessman due to financial debts.
