Julián Gil and Marjorie de Sousa's dramatic, prolonged, complicated and media lawsuit for their son Matías has reached its conclusion in court with the final sentence released this Tuesday by a judge from Mexico City, in which They establish the terms of the pension, visitation regime, guard and custody of the ex-partner's 1-year-old son.

Among other issues, the judge decided to establish the maintenance pension to be paid at 20% of his income from now on by the actor of Argentine origin, well above the 4% he had requested from the court.

Also, as expected, confirms that custody of the minor continues to fall, as until now, on the 38-year-old Venezuelan actress, who in a statement sent to People en Español said she felt vindicated by the result of this "painful process" and described the judge's ruling in the pension matter is "fair".

"I sincerely thank all those who have worried about Matias throughout this process," exclaimed the blonde protagonist of the soap opera Detrás del muro (Telemundo) in her statement.

For his part, Gil also congratulated himself on the end of the lawsuit in the courts. I am very happy to be able to reunite with my son Matías after more than 500 days without being able to have a healthy coexistence, now if nobody can separate us. I love you son,”said the protagonist of Por amar sin ley (Univision) in a statement sent to People en Español.

The judge's sentence also clarifies the thorny issue of parental visits, which have generated so many embarrassing moments throughout the months that the case has lasted.

In this regard, the sentence orders that Gil meet his son on the first Sunday of each month, between 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., outside the coexistence center where these encounters took place so far. Of course, the delivery and reception of the minor must be done in that place and it must be accompanied and supervised by the caregivers who attend to it.

That visiting regime can be extended over time "as the filial parental ties are strengthened" and "by virtue of the age and maturity that the child is acquiring," the ruling reads, according to Univision.
