No one can accuse President Donald Trump of not being a resourceful man. This Tuesday, when he delivered his expected speech before the UN General Assembly, the president was received with laughter, but perhaps few expected what he said in response.

"I'm here to share the extraordinary progress we've made," exclaimed the 72-year-old billionaire on the historic podium of the New York-based organization. "In less than two years, my Administration has accomplished more than almost any Administration in the history of our country, so true."

Suddenly, laughter erupted in the great hall, populated by rulers from almost everyone. Pausing, Trump joined in the laughter and said, "I didn't expect that response, but it's okay." The video has gone viral:

Today's facilitated speech represents the second time he has risen to the UN podium as president. According to different media, the president was late and avoided addressing thorny issues, such as Russia and climate change.

What Trump did talk about was Iran and the sanctions that Washington is preparing for that country and that will take effect on November 5. The president also referred to China and Venezuela, a country that he described as a "human tragedy" asking that "democracy" be restored. "All countries must put up resistance to socialism and the misery [it] brings."
