A strong earthquake of 7.3 degrees on the Richter scale was registered on the coast of Venezuela and has reportedly also been felt with intensity in various sectors of the Colombian territory.

According to a report delivered by the CNN en Espanol online site, the United States Geological Survey confirmed that the telluric movement had as its epicenter the vicinity of the Yaguaraparo town, in the state of Sucre. The information also adds that the depth of the earthquake was located around 123 kilometers underground.
