A photo of a boy apparently caged and crying in a detention center that has circulated thousands more than 10,000 times through networks is false. This was revealed when it was discovered that the shocking image actually belongs to a protest organized by activists in Texas.
The boy was part of a group of minors called to the demonstration organized by the Brown Berets of Cemanahuac, a Latino and pro-indigenous organization based in Dallas that denounced the separation of parents from their children under the president's "zero tolerance" policy. Donald Trump.
The image appeared on the group's social networks about a week ago and apparently the confusion of its origin arose when it was shared by the journalist José Antonio Vargas, according to CNN.
