Venezuela has just become for the second consecutive year the most dangerous country in the world. The sad mention was decreed thanks to the results of a survey by the prestigious Gallup company, and places the South American nation above countries torn by war, such as Syria and Afghanistan.

The aforementioned study determined that 42% of Venezuelans suffered robberies in 2017 and that 25% were the victim of an assault. The latter is the highest number of assaults in the world.

Trust in the authorities is another of the key pieces in the survey, revealing that while 70% of the population in 142 countries trust the local police, in Venezuela only 24% place their trust in that authority.

The survey, called Global Law and Order, is carried out based on citizens' perception of their sense of well-being and security, their trust in the police force and whether or not they have been robbed or robbed in a period of one year, in this case, 2017. About 1,000 people were interviewed for the study.

In contrast, Singapore, Norway and Iceland are the countries with the highest marks when it comes to local law and order. The aforementioned Venezuela, Afghanistan and South Sudan are the most dangerous countries in the world.
