Sports and politics are a mix that can be more explosive than dynamite. This was the recent fight between the American boxer " El Relámpago" Rod Salka, 35, and the Mexican boxer F rancisco "El Bandido" Vargas, 33.
Salka decided to jump into the ring wearing a striking shorts that immediately gave a different tint to the fight between the two athletes. The Lightning Bolt uniform had "America First" written, a phrase widely used by President Donald Trump during his addresses. Additionally, the garment had a design in the colors of the United States flag that simulated a wall.
The fight took place in Indio, California, and before a crowd with many Mexican supporters, Salka immediately became the villain to beat. The Bandit complied with the public's requests and beat up his opponent, who ended up on the floor during the fifth round.
The Lightning wall was not as effective and ended up collapsed via Knockout by the forceful blows of the Mexican. Of course the images of the fight have become a trend on social networks, where many users have made fun of the peculiar situation.
It is not the first time that the sport of the United States has become a political battle that includes the name of Trump. During 2017, a total controversy occurred after the president strongly criticized NFL players who carried out a peaceful protest during the protocol acts of the parties against police brutality.
